| Yojimbo |
Dir. Akira Kurosawa Japan 1961
The pure brilliance of
Yojimbo is the result of the collaboration between director
Kurosawa and actor Toshiro Mifune. An unemployed samurai for
hire walks into a town divided by two criminal gangs. His code
of honor should guide him to give his allegiances to the right side.
In this case there's none, so he hires out to both playing
them against each other in order to free the
town. An exuberant satire of the American western. (subtitled; 110m)
