| Ghost Dog |
Dir. Jim Jarmusch US 1999
Eastern philosophy meets rap culture
in this tale of a modern-day samurai. Forest Whitaker is Ghost Dog,
a hit man for the Mafia until he leaves a witness at a crime scene and
becomes hunted by the mob. Like the accompanying soundtrack by RZA of
the Wu-Tang Clan, Jarmusch (Coffee & Cigarettes, Dead Man) samples
different cultures
and styles and remixes them, adding his own distinctive style. (115m)
