Havana, Mi Amor juxtaposes those soap opera images with the relationships between the everyday lives of contemporary Cubans who are all vigilant watchers of this night time soap. At the center of the film is Jose, the man with the golden hands who is responsible for keeping all the dilapidated TV sets working.
