Dir. David Hoffman US 1971
Earl Scruggs, now 80 years old and enjoying a comeback, was the first country musician to join the peace movement. The film documents him at an anti-Vietnam War demonstration in 1971, with his family crossing the U.S. in search of new ways to play the banjo, and in unique and intimate scenes with Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Doc Watson, the Byrds and many others.
