	Dir. Shusuke Kaneko Japan 1996 Late one night, a meteor shower occurs over Hokkaido, and one particularly large meteor crashes to Earth. The Japanese Self-Defense Force science team is sent to investigate and finds a series of strange events taking place in the area, indicating that something is moving toward Sapporo. Strange creatures begin to appear in the subway tunnels, attacking trains and passengers. Meanwhile, huge plants begin to sprout which spread throughout the city and thousands of monster insects emerge from the underground. Then a huge flying object appears over the city. It's Gamera, ready to confront the extraterrestrials! As the insect Legion heads for Tokyo, Gamera is in hot pursuit in what will be the final battle between the two monsters. (99m)
