| Mean Girls |
Dir. Mark S. Waters US 2004
Director Waters (The House of Yes) and Screenwriter Tina Fey
(SNL's long-overdue first female head writer) join forces for Mean Girls an adaptation of
the non-fiction "Queen Bees and Wannabes: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip,
Boyfriends and Other Realities of Adolescence." Cady (Lindsay Lohan) is the formerly
home-schooled new girl who gets a crash course in Machiavellian Studies when, urged
by two unpopular friends (the gay guy & the goth) she infiltrates The Plastics, the
most popular clique at school. However, she soon finds herself crossing the line
between conspiracy and complicity. Lindsay Lohan is totally awesome in this film and not
to be a total bitch, but "shut up" I really hope she doesn't become, like, totally lame
and begin making
crappy movies, and become a mega-klepto while stoned on pills
like another actress I won't name.(97m)
