Dirs. Syd Garon & Eric Henry US 2001 Wave Twister is an eye-popping, hip-hop-meets-Hanna-Barbera, animated adventure synched skratch for skratch with DJ Qbert's turntable master piece of the same name. Each track from Wave Twisters was designed to provide the audio framework for anothe r chapter in this sci-fi/kung fu epic; every aspect of the story has been seamlessly integrated into Q-Bert's original musical compositions. The film pioneers the concept of visual skratching; sampling from a wide variety of techniques (from traditional cell animation to 3D to live action to photo collage).
