Inside Out
Dir. Michelle Blair US 2002
Bulimia is known by the public as many things: a form of dieting, a "rich white girl's" affliction, a disease overcome by Jane Fonda, Princess Di, Tina Turner, Demi Moore...What bulimia is generally not known as is a killer for an estimated 20% of the five million currently bulimic in America. Inside Out: Stories of Bulimia, a mixture of interview, observational and abstract footage which includes the "real experts"- those who have experienced the disease first hand - achieves a rare look into the daily lives of active bulimics.
