In this romp through Jim Henson's marvelous muppet mythos, twin brothers Kermit and Fozzie are investigative reporters whose big break comes when they are entangled in a major jewel heist of British fashion designer Lady Holiday's (Diana Rigg) precious stones. Taking along their photographer Gonzo, the trio travels to the UK. There they meet up with the usual gang of goofs, including Miss Piggy, Animal and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. Lavish musical numbers, endless puns and A-list cameos abound throughout the film. In the end, muppets rule the day as they scheme to catch the thieves red-handed (though it is not revealed what color their hands were before). (95m)
