In tune with Francois Truffaut’s The 400 Blows, Let The Right One In masterfully evokes the trials of adolescence without mawkish sentimentalism, however within the framework of an unlikely genre. The cinematography and art direction captures a winter fantasyland that sets a beautifully dark atmosphere for this compelling film, yet the fantastic sound design maintains a sense of realism.
